John Wesley travelled nearly 300,00 miles on horseback and Stagecoach throughout his long life. He visited the length and breadth of Britain, he sometimes preached four times a day, indoors and outdoors. John Wesley revolutionised the traditional church in the 18th century, he brought the message of Salvation through the love of Jesus Christ, and to let that love grow in one's heart, and to share that love with others. He transformed many lives, and changed many of the social injustices of the day, like child labour, slavery and poverty. John Wesley founded the Methodist movement, and with his brother Charles who wrote nearly 6,000 hymns, gave it a long lasting legacy, which all Methodists throughout the world have not forgotten.
